So not knowing what to replace the frayed tapestry of our lounge chair in our bedroom I looked online for a «scratching post for cats» and saw this one having good reviews.

I've been unhappy with our master bedroom for awhile now, and after seeing this post, I'm inspired to redo it in black and white!

Rather than going with the light vibe of our other rooms in the house we decided to really play up the cozy factor in here with a rather unexpected color for the walls (see our before photos and vision and inspiration for dark bedroom walls in this post).

And if you stand in that same hallway facing the other direction, with the basement stairs to your right, you'll see where we could close off the master bedroom and bathroom (more ideas to come in a future post for this space), and remove the door casing between the entry and dining room on the right to widen that entrance.

I have been wondering how I was going to transform some fabric I have into lovely (and very inexpensive) window coverings for the bedroom, as seen in this inspiration post: http://www.howtobeaheroine.com/2012/03/01/coo-coo-ka-choo/ I was starting to dispair that the fabric would just languish in a bin forever.

You saw our master bedroom in our last blog post a few weeks ago, and how we haven't really touched it in 2 years since we bought the furniture.

(Although this particular post is a stretch on real life seeing as my bedroom is consistently the messiest room in the house day in and day out.)
