Game Night
is a playfully subversive comedy, one so tightly wound with smart and surprising jokes that I found myself
trying to remember the last time I'd seen a commercial comedy full of

're anchored to emotions and big personalities, and run into trouble when the filmmakers or the audience
try to map a geometrically precise relationship to the world beyond the screen.
