I'm obsessed with
smoothie bowls but I've never tried adding
beets — I love
beet juice though, so I've definitely going to try this.
I love a good raw
beet juice but I've still never tried
beets in a
smoothie — I think I'm just nervous about how my blender will handle them.
I love
beets raw or roasted, but have never tried them in
juice or
smoothies.
Also,
beet juice has a lot of benefits and I don't like to drink it on its own, which is why hiding it in this
smoothie is perfect!
Even though I have a ton of recipes featuring them, like salads,
smoothies,
juices, and even veggie burgers, it's rare that I eat
beets on a daily or even weekly basis.

You could try a green

juice instead of apple
juice for extra vitamin c. I do have lots of recipes here for sauteed kale and
beet greens, but I'm not sure if that would be too hard for him to chew.
Pomegranate
juice is great on its own and wonderful in a
beet smoothie.

Breakfast I was in the mood for something light this morning... In lieu of my usual
smoothie, I
juiced carrots, celery, cucumbers,
beets, lemon, and ginger together to give both my liver and my energy level a boost!
I got the inspiration for this bowl from a

For this cherry
smoothie, I added lime
juice for zing and some
beets to neutralize the sweetness of the cherries.

It's no secret I LOVE
Beets, I probably eat at least one a day, in the form of a
smoothie,
juice or in a salad.
For the berry
smoothie, combine the following: remaining banana, 6 ounces frozen blueberries, 4 ounces raspberries, 1/4 cup fresh
beet juice, 1 cup pomegranate
juice, and Three Roots Turmeric Tea by Numi Organic Teas.
In the meantime, I'm excited to buy my aforementioned beloved
smoothies and also try out some of the other
juice blends (in particular the
beet blend and charcoal lavender lemonade) and milks.
I typically do a
smoothie (with veggies, fruits, superfoods and nut milk) in the morning, and a lighter veggie
juice in the afternoon with leafy greens, cucumber, celery, carrots,
beets, ginger, lemon and turmeric.
While the whole food is generally the best and provides the most nutrients and fiber, there are health benefits of
beet juice powder, and it can be a great addition to
smoothies or «nice cream» as it gives a beautiful bright red color!
Or, be inventive and add cleansing
beet chunks to your
smoothies and
juices!

I was excited to try this recipe because I have put
beets in my
juice before but never in a
smoothie.
Beet greens are easy to prepare and you can enjoy them raw in salads,
juices or
smoothies.
On a side note, I went to my Whole Foods today and they don't have a
smoothie bar to get wheatgrass or carrot
juice.: (I did get some awesome carrots,
beets, and red chard though.
Some people like
juice more, and some vegetables do better in a juicer than a blender (
beets might be one of those), but overall you can enjoy the same benefits from a
smoothie as with a
juice.

beet juice to your
smoothies — the root vegetable contains nitrates, which may help lower your blood pressure, according to Wake Forest University.
