In perspective, this is just the calm before the storm when we'll get the even bigger releases later this year, including Batman Arkham City, Skyrim, Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword (which finally has a release date, thank god) Uncharted 3, Gears of War 3, Modern Warfare 3, and Battlefield 3 (is it just me, or are there a lot of 3's this year?)

I picked up both Arkham City and Bioshock Infinite cheap, used, and finished each just before it came out as a free PS3 title.

While every interested party is busy creaming their pants for the release of Batman: Arkham Knight today, and well - equipped PC owners have pre-loaded the game by now and are ready before anyone else to be the Batman, all hell is breaking loose on the internet.

A fourth «Arkham» game was rumored even before «Batman: Arkham Origins» came out last November (read our review on Tom's Guide).

It still doesn't capture the excellence of the Batman Arkham combat mechanics but it's certainly closer to it than before.

But I think I will take a break before I jump into Arkham City.

A quick question before I start off this review that you might want to keep in mind while you read this, how do you top a Batman game like Arkham Asylum or Arkham City?
