There are probably many other questions one could ask
himself before getting a puppy, but they are not playing matter, and they should be deeply considered.
Before I got my puppy, I was thinking I would get it when he was closer to 4 years old since Golden's have a lot of issues as they get older and the Golden I got was VERY well bred so I figured since he had good genes / DNA, that I wouldn't have many issues with him... but boy am I glad that I got Healthy Paws when he was a puppy.
Before getting a puppy, check the medical documents of the parents to rule out hip dysplasia.
If your house isn't puppy proofed you shouldn't have a puppy in the first place — if it can get into the cupboards and get at chemicals you need to fix
that before getting a puppy (or having a kid for that matter).
