For those who are being abused, whether in care homes (as in the case
of Winterbourne),
hospices or hospitals, and who are placed on the Pathway as a means
of obscuring mistreatment, for those who do not have a legal adviser to speak on their
behalf, for those whose family are simply confused and paralysed about what to do and take the matter no further, very little can be done.
