The stereotypes and biases we are exposed to can affect the way students are viewed; left unchecked, students of color are disproportionately
disciplined, left
behind academically, and are overwhelmingly represented among the students who can't identify a single caring adult at
school.

school funding be tied to advancing equal opportunity, and that states are required to collect data on recruitment, retention and

So the outcome of No Child Left

schools that are doing well and more
discipline and narrow test - preparation for the poorest
schools.
