Children growing up in such aggressive families may
believe that family aggression is acceptable and thus become more likely to behave in aggressive or harmful ways toward others.12 13 On the other hand, neglectful parents tend to show minimal
physical affection towards their children, know little about child development and have incompetent caretaking skills14 which can put their children at a higher risk for obesity and other diseases.
