We
believe community pharmacy teams play a vital role in the
early detection of cancer, and our new National Pharmacy Association - accredited digital learning modules have been specifically developed to help them learn more about the most common symptoms
of pancreatic
cancer.
«Since the slight decrease in
cancer mortality largely reflects changing incidence or
earlier detection, rather than improved therapy, the logical next step, we
believe, would be to shift more resources into an arena where we have proved that they make a difference and concentrate our efforts on prevention and
early detection of cancer,» says Bailar.
