This dress was the same but unfortunately it was too long on me, came well
below mid thigh, so it looked a bit off.

To avoid that, I shortened the pattern in four different places;
mid armhole, which made the armhole higher -LCB- a good thing -RCB-, above the bust, just
below the waist, and again near the upper
thigh.
This dress is ridiculously easy to make, and just as easy to wear Basically all you're doing is created two gathered skirts, one the length from your bust to your
mid thigh, and the other a mini skirt that just sits around your arms — you then attach them together as shown
below and away you go!
For the most flattering silhouette, look for a
mid to high - rise tailored pair that is fitted through the
thigh and flares out
below the knee.
