The
plan is to launch an oil futures contract
on the Shanghai International Energy
Exchange (INE), but there are obstacles in convincing large oil producers and consumers in using the yuan and investing in the Shanghai
benchmark.
The cost for the
benchmark plan is based
on the second lowest cost Silver
plan available
on the
exchange to cover the individual's entire household based
on their age, rating area, and number of people in the family (but not adjusted for tobacco use).
