The
SNES only had one (traditional) Mario, one Zelda, and one Metroid, and not only are they three of the
best games on the system, they're quite frankly three of the
best games on any system that they're available on.
Whether it was beating a friend at a video game (Street Fighter 2 on
SNES comes to mind), playing sports (my favorite sport was basketball although I was always
better at running track) or academic competitions (yes, I was a bit of a math nerd).

SNe Ia and white dwarf systems.
I like classic, old - school
SNES era stuff, though Final Fantasy X still blows my mind (
best story in the series), and the stuff from Team ICO is beyond fantastic.
I can think of a grand total of 2 party games EVER that are
better: Super Bomberman on the
SNES and Twisted on the 3DO.
Fox n Forests can't be faulted for its fantastically accurate portrayal of 16 - bit platforming; very few indie games have managed to nail the look and sound of the
SNES so
well.
Veteran players can look forward to the challenges of Vile mode, while newbies will discover a faithful remake of one of the
best platformers on the
SNES.
In my opinion is the
best chapter since Donkey Kong Country 2 for
SNES.
This game brings out the
best in old school gaming, making your
SNES dreams reappear in modern times as this wonderfully put together package.
It's safe to say that this is the
best Mario Kart since the
SNES days, and that's a pretty heavy statement.
Shadow Complex, while introducing a few 3D elements, is a brilliant renaissance of the gameplay that made Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PSOne) and Super Metroid (
SNES) two of the
best side - scrollers of their respective generations.
While the news that Metroid Prime 4 is being developed is
well and
good, many fans prefer the 2D experience pioneered on systems like the NES and
SNES.
The list of content sounds impressive, so a
good addition to my
SNES Mini purchase this week!
Often overshadowed by its predecessors (or entirely overlooked by early adopters of the Nintendo 64), DKC3 remains one of the
best side - scrolling platforming adventures the
SNES has to offer.

good sign that western territories are slowly catching up to matching Japan's massive deluge of

SNES Mario's as Genesis Sonics, so during that period Sonic was a bit

Smash bros is pretty much the same as the last game, mario kart looks ok, dk looks like more of the same from wii, Hell the Dk games on
snes had more effort and felt more like whole games and less like cop outs for money, do nt get me wrong DK for wii was
good but was nothing even close to the old ones, do nt care about wind waker its an old game that i played on my gamecube a few times.

Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers (Capcom, $ 7.99)-- Quite arguably one of the
best fighters available on the
SNES, Super Street Fighter II proved to be a solid conversion of its arcade brethren.
Originally launching on
SNES back in 1994, Mega man X brought several sequels with it as it offered a gorgeous new coat of paint with improved sprites and tighter platforming as
well as the option to play with X or his Maverick - hunting pal Zero with his Z - Sabre.
Secret Of Mana is an old
SNES game from 1993, which is fondly remembered as one of the
best titles on the system.
In the demo of DKC Tropical Freeze, we were given Wiimotes, which actually scared me, since I didn't like the Wiimote paradigm (I much prefer the classical layout of the
SNES controller) because I didn't adapt
well.
In Short: The original
SNES classic deserves
better than this overpriced and undercooked remake, which fails to recreate the original's «90s charm.
I don't really like the cartoon style that Retro uses for the «Return» series, imo the
SNES art direction still fits DK
better.
I see I'll shut my mouth on it then, I don't want to spoil it for you I'm considering giving FE a shot, will be my first game in that series, I always hear only
good responses on FE, same for DQ (going back to the nes and
snes days) which turned out the reason for me to try them on the ds and love them.
The original Donkey Kong Country Returns on the Wii did a great job of emulating the challenge of the classic DKC trilogy on
SNES — in that they were way too difficult for a
good 70 % of the people who played them.
Presentation is based on the Japan - only
SNES remake and looks and sounds quite a bit
better than the GBC version.
To round things out, DQ1 is as 2 - the
best version in English, with the
SNES remake winning in Japanese.
Well if you think about it, back in the
SNES days... I remember FFIV, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, AND FFVI all being about $ 30.
