The color makes no difference as this is by far
the best applesauce recipe out there... it turns out tasting almost like apple butter... and oh... It's delicious!

I've never tried this
recipe without
applesauce before, so your instincts are just as
good as mine here.
So much goodness in this
recipe, love the mascarpone and the
applesauce (which only recently I started to add to my cupcakes), also a
good opportunity for me to finally try the famous pumpkin spice, to this day I haven't tried it!
Between the family
applesauce recipe and the pear
applesauce I made this year, the crockpot (slow cooker) has always worked
well for us.
A lot of
recipes I've found for muffins with
applesauce don't taste very
good but these were surprising!
This is a great
recipe as is, and also works
well with some healty substitutions (1/2 whole wheat flour 1/2 white, 1/2
applesauce for the oil).

recipe (I use a no sugar added version from Trader Joe's), but in the past I've had success replacing
applesauce with mashed bananas, gram for gram, and vice versa.

i tried this
recipe but i used 2 eggs and 1/4 milk and a bit of
applesauce and cinnamon, baking soda, 1/4 of coconut flour from bob red mills after cooking it, i noticed it the mixture does nt stick together very
well should i add more eggs?
When the sinfully sweet goodness is derived from bananas,
applesauce, and cocoa powder, as in this
recipe from Daphne Oz, it's a fudgy treat you can feel really, really
good about.
I sent off the majority of the batch with Man - thing, as
well as the rest of the poppy lemon loaf cake from yesterday, to the in - laws, because keeping so much nom in the house is not always for the
best:p The
recipe is rather healthier than most cinnamon roll versions I've come across, especially considering one subs the traditional oil for
applesauce.
My only changes — a little more

I lighten up
recipes for cakes and muffins by reducing the amount of sugar, as
well as substituting
applesauce or Greek yogurt for the oil / butter.
Not just a substitute for cooking oil,
applesauce may be used as a sweetener and even bananas can sweeten a baked
good recipe too.
It seems to work
best when there is another oily presence in the
recipe - which is why I think an
applesauce substitution may work here - since oily peanut butter is already in the
recipe.
They can be frozen and added to baby safe feeder and
applesauce can be used as substitute for oil in baked
recipes as
well.

applesauce work
best as an egg replacer in
recipes like pancakes, muffins and yeast - free quick breads, but they won't help your
recipe be as light and fluffy as they would with eggs.
These
recipes usually call for many eggs per, and I use ground chia, gelatin,
applesauce, arrowroot, etc. in each
recipe and they work pretty
well.
This another area where
applesauce works
well as a replacement (and the
good thing about adding
applesauce is you can chuck the added sugar from the
recipe as
well, making it way healthier).
