The artistic component is simply delicious and is currently

A mix of anime, rpg styles and overall
cell shaded look, Arslan tries it's
best to tell a tale that you simply end up not caring about.

I loved the feel

shaded gave to this back in 2003, I think It represented a
better narrative of the whole sea overworld, I was thankful they didn't use the OOT because that seemed to fit
better in a more Tolkien-esque adventure.

good choice for games without massive budgets as it lets the developers hide the rough areas.

Well they aren't similar so yeah I'm still doubtful Also as someone else said D4 is a
cell shaded game, so I suppose you think Borderlands 2 looked like a PS2 game also

shaded graphics were at their
best in Jet Set / Jet Grind Radio).
The Naruto Storm series that we're all so accustomed to focused on making the game look as close to the anime (let's be honest, it was way
better most of the time) as possible with CC2's innovative
cell shading, however this game has a slight departure from that.
I think the art style is what hurt Code Name Steam the most, probably would have sold 4x as much if they went with a
cell shaded anime art style like Valkeria Chronicles instead of chasing the american comic book audience that doesn't exist and doesn't look
good at such a low resolution.
The
cell shaded style of Borderlands will be in
good hands with Telltale as it's right in the developer's wheel - house.
