Cera, Brian D'Arcy - James, Kevin Costner, Chris O'Dowd, Bill Camp) to play off.
New characters will be played by Jennifer Jason Leigh, Monica Bellucci, Michael
Cera and Amanda Seyfried, as
well as Lynch alumni Laura Dern, Naomi Watts and Balthazar Getty.
So, Empire had the
good fortune to run into Michael
Cera the other day (exactly how you imagine him — very nice, very sweet and shy) and we took the time to grill him on two of his upcoming projects: Edgar Wright's adaptation of ace underground comic, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, in which
Cera was cast just recently; and the mooted movie adaptation of the wonderful TV show that first brought him to our attention: Arrested Development.
Although
Cera couldn't say too much about what Edgar's planning for the movie, he did fill us in as
best he could.
But the Groundlings vet impressed swiftly once he joined «Saturday Night Live» two years ago, thanks to dead on impressions of the likes of Brad Pitt, Michael
Cera and Eminem, as
well as being central to some of the more memorable recurring sketches of late, «Les Jeunes De Paris» and «J - Pop America Fun Time Now.»
I should think I'd like their characterizations
better if, perhaps unfairly, I didn't compare them to Jonah Hill, Michael
Cera and Christopher Mintz - Plasse.
Arnett is voice - acting opposite his Arrested Development costar Michael
Cera as LEGO Robin in this movie, as
well as Rosario Dawson (Daredevil) as LEGO Batgirl.
If you are a fan of Michael
Cera's previous work (Superbad, Juno) you will probably enjoy the film, although I contend it isn't quite as
good as both of those other films mentioned.

With all of that said, although Michael

Cera) in the acting class that he teaches gets
better work.
Mr. Grits (Craig Robinson) rails against the crackers who done him wrong, The villain of the piece is a douche, literally, and Frank's
best friend, Barry (Michael
Cera), bemoans his short stature, only to be bucked up by Frank with the cheery reminder that it's girth, not length, that counts when it comes to filling a bun.
As happy as we are that the entire central cast is coming back to reprise their ridiculous roles — that is, Jason Bateman as Michael Bluth, Portia de Rossi as Lindsay, Will Arnett as Gob, Michael
Cera as George - Michael, Tony Hale as Buster, David Cross as Tobias Funke, Jeffrey Tambor as George and Oscar, Alia Shawkat as Maeby, Jessica Walter as Lucille, and Ron Howard as himself — there are a few cameo characters that deserve some more screen time as
well, like Charlize Theron as Rita Leeds, Henry Winkler as Barry Zuckerkorn, Bob Einstein as Larry Middleman, and Ben Stiller as Tony Wonder.
Although Youth in Revolt has quirky comic affectations, the subdued styles of Arteta (Chuck & Buck) and
Cera (Superbad) keep the film grounded, proving that the director and star are as
well - matched as Nick and Sheeni.
Now, let's pretend that in place of Michael
Cera there was some cute, but not - as - famous face, and the still
well received film relies mostly on Yi's talents.
The script's lulls rarely go on for a full minute, a
good example being when Hill interrupts a soccer game to tell Michael
Cera their plans for the evening (and setting the present action limits for the film) and Hill calls a bothersome soccer player (
Cera's in the middle of a game) a bed - wetter, recalling a bladder incident from eight years earlier.
In Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010), she is both
well - cast for her role as a time - jumping dream girl with baggage, and not cast
well at all, looking more like costar Michael
Cera's older sister than a convincing love interest.
