While the choreography is generally fairly minimal (at least for this sort
of mega-production), first time
film director Phyllida Lloyd (who helmed the original stage version) has woven together a tightly
edited and exceedingly

The pacing is
good, but the
film also comes with many obvious markers

Liman and his successor, Paul Greengrass, reasoned that deliberately chaotic shooting and

No one would call this the
best filmmaking
of his unpredictable career, but there's a carelessness to the
film's snappy, on - the - fly shooting and
editing that, at its

Even the weakest action set piece (which is plagued by a few instances

OF PI (20TH CENTURY FOX) Directed by: Ang Lee Produced by: Gil Netter, Ang Lee, David...
It's more
of a slice
of life sort
of movie than one with a clear and easy - to - summarize narrative, but it's essentially a very
good film concentrating on loss
of innocence, scattered with moments
of greatness usually brought to the surface by its strong technical aspects (from its stylized
editing to its sporadic shifts in tone).
The
