While I do agree there are soy products that aren't so
good for us, like non-traditional, GMO soy cereals, soy thickeners used to emulsify products or plastic - tasting
fake meats, there are
good quality and traditional sources of soy that can be beneficial to your wellbeing in moderation.
I like the look of this a lot
better than all those generic «
fake meat» patties you can buy at the store — instead of imitating
meat, it looks like these patties do their own thing!
I can not find anywhere that breaks down if yeast is actually a
good or a bad thing, but most doctors prescribe it, Naturopaths LOVE it, almost any «health food» site or book pushes it,
fake cheese and
fake meats are loaded with it.
It's called «
Fake Meat» but it's seitan and seitan (wheat protein) is very
good and healthy (unlike «Real
Meat») because it's wheat.
If you're really eating unprocessed, whole food, plant based, then you're on the right track, but I know plenty of «vegans» that eat nothing but
fake meat, potato chips and Pepsi which is, needless to say, not
good.

(Soy protein isolate is an ingredient found in all those
fake meat products that vegans often flock to, as
well as protein powders, and all breakfast cereal and breads labeled «high - protein».)

better than processed soy (which I personally don't recommend.)
Soy proteins, (the ones that make up so many soy protein products and «
fake meat» items), are often derived from petroleum - based solvents which is obviously not
good for any body.
