oil filters I have seen is due to improper installation, or using a
filter well beyond the service life.
The
oil is added to make the
filter «sticky» to these small particles giving the foam
filter better filtering capability.
I am sure cleaning the carb & replacing the carb gasket,
filter, and old gas /
oil helped as
well but the main culprit was the cap.
Every 3 months I get my
oil change, & they tell me that I have to get my cabin air
filter replaced everytime as
