Contrary to fresh
peaches, canned
peaches retain their appearance, texture, flavour as
well as nutritional content when incorporated in cooked
recipes.
You can, of course, freeze fresh
peaches for this simple
recipe (it might turn out even sweeter that way), but the store - bought frozen
peaches seem to work just as
well.
Would substituting

This
recipe keeps it very simple, using sweet and tart apricots and ripe
peaches to create a
well - rounded filling inside of a crisp, flaky pastry.
2 1/2 -3 pounds whole fresh yellow
peaches (about 8 medium
peaches) 1
recipe Whole Wheat Pie Dough, or other
good crust 2/3 cup dark brown sugar, packed 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg pinch of Kosher or sea salt 3 - 4 tablespoons cornstarch, depending on juiciness of

Since I've gotten oatmeal down pretty
well, I decided to create my own
recipe with what we had left in the house: a
peach.
The raspberries go so
well with the
peaches — raspberries are hands - down my favorite berry — and their contrasting colors make this
peach cobbler
recipe something pretty.
If you can find
peach juice try it, but if you can't, orange juice works really
well in this
recipe.
There isn't much to this
recipe so it is important that you use
good peaches.

Bread pudding is one of my favorites and this
recipe is quite similar to my own «method» (meaning that I do not use a real
recipe but incorporate what is on hand with the basic ingredients) My very, very
best version uses leftover, homemade biscuits that have been split, buttered and toasted... add some dried
