Critics might ask why the web browser is still described as «experimental» or why they're not interested in accommodating or developing multimedia e-books, but I think Bezos is right to focus on building
the best reading device he can instead of trying to compete with devices like the iPad.
Few people would argue that the iPad is
a better reading device than the Kindle.
Curentlly I own a Kobo Aura HD, which is really
a good reading device.
I imagine there are a lot of other readers out there who just want
a good reading device and don't care about playing Angry Birds or checking for text messages every three seconds.
The Kindle Touch is
the best reading device I've ever used.

They should look for attractive price points and
better reading devices.
The iPad is indeed a useful, entertaining, engaging and disruptive product, but is it really
a better reading device than the traditional e-Ink readers currently on the market?
Kindle is clearly
a better reading device.
Voyage is
a better reading device in all lighting conditions.
With the aim of creating
the best reading device ever, Amazon stripped the Kindle down to its component pieces and built it back up again, taking the chance to remove as many annoyances or distractions as possible along the way.
