The
skirt is midi
length with the hemline ending at the upper knee and the lace hemline extending
well below the knee.
In order to shorten the top into a
better length for my body, I've tucked a pinch of fabric into the waistband of the
skirt on each side.
It's
better to choose floor -
length gowns, but I am not talking about lush
skirts, yet asymmetric and sleek looks with side slits and sheer details.
As I listed my height in my measurements, choosing «below the knee» on the
skirt length really did ensure it was below my knee, not below the knee of the original fit model who may
well have been much shorter than my 5ft 7.

For me a classic cigarette or culotte, a modest

good point... I read somewhere years ago that the sweet spot for dress /
skirt lengths for petite people is from just above the knee as you've mentioned, to just below the knee.

One may argue that women can look as
good in dynamic above the knee
