good brakes, but should you make a track companion of yours, it's
worth considering the carbon - ceramic
brakes, priced at a hefty # 6,250.
And so is the magnetic - ride suspension, which continues to prove its
worth in most every application: stiff when you want it to be, and pretty compliant when you don't, it's a genuinely all - purpose system that, matched to the big Brembo
brakes, works equally
well on the track and on the street.
Now, although that sounds like a ludicrous amount of money and ceramic
brakes seem like an obscene thing to have on an SUV, they are
well worth it.

brakes might be
worth upgrading if you plan on hitting the track, but they do a
good - enough job at stopping the car during regular street use.

That poses a dilemma to a potential GTI buyer as to whether they should fork out that little bit extra for the more powerful AWD version, especially when you consider the standard 18 ″ alloys with much bigger
brakes and bixenon lights as standard on the R version would make this car only a few grand more expensive and
well worth it!
Given the prices of genuine BMW
brake discs alone, this package is
well worth specifying.
The available Technology Group Package is
well worth a look and includes adaptive cruise control, advanced
brake assist, automatic high beam headlamp control, lane departure warning with lane keep assist and forward collision warning systems, rain sensitive windshield wipers and a power tilt / telescope steering column.
Yes, tires are pricey, but
well worth it for how this car accelerates,
brakes, and handles.
