book proposal I ambitiously thought I would, but I did get pretty
good at typing with one

It is a
good book to put in the
hands of a beginner, for it gives much useful information with sympathetic insight and wise counsel on how to approach the study of a religion other than one's own.
However, liberals as
well as conservatives will miss the full force of Coover's
book if they see it merely as heavy -
handed political satire.
What I think I'd like to do is to write about it here in a series of posts,
hand - in -
hand with these homeschool
book posts, taking on what I think he gets right as
well as assumptions about children, parenting, and education with which I take issue.
All in all this is a practical,
well written, highly accessible
book that belongs in the
hands of everybody who has ever enjoyed the writing of Gilbert Keith Chesterton.
