authoritative parenting type includes two components that are related to support, whereas the two other components are related to behavioral control, thus reflecting the assumed balance
between support and demandingness in

Since there appears to be a correlation
between insecure attachment styles and the aforementioned suboptimal
parenting styles (Power), it stands to reason a secure attachment style most readily lends itself to
authoritative parenting.
