The Erie County Legislature unanimously approved wide - ranging
ethics reform
legislation yesterday, which has been in the works for more than a year, and is the result of a joint effort
between the county executive's office and the Democratic and Republican conferences.
The
legislation in question would enshrine the CEO position into law, create a rotating chairmanship
between the two states, create a chief
ethics and compliance officer, reaffirm the authority's transportation - centric mission, and so on.
