I think people make this way too complicated... If you are just to focus on a
good balance
between fats,
carbs, and proteins, and make sure to eat only natural unprocessed organic foods (as close to their natural state as possible) instead of packaged, processed foods, a lot of the problems that most people have with cravings, a sweet tooth, overeating, blood sugar swings, etc all take care of themselves.

What you end up with is a meal that's pretty
well balanced
between protein, healthy fats, and healthy
carbs instead of overloaded with the refined grains from the typical hamburger bun.
My approach to long term weight control is to lose weight slowly and patiently and follow a nutrition plan that is

best when I'm
between 30 - 70 grams of
carbs a day.
Typically, anywhere
between 20 - 30g of net
carbs is recommended for everyday dieting — but the lower you keep your carbohydrate intake and glucose levels, the
better the overall results will be.
What I'm getting at here is that it is important to know differences
between carb sources, how they affect your body and which are the
best choices when eating carbohydrates.
(However it gets said) with added additional mentions of avoiding at least sugar, refined flour, & added oil / fat... especially for cooking, (and maybe the last 2 should be 3 A & B instead of 4 & 5, but...) 4) Making clear the difference
between the «dreaded
carbs» and complex
carbs, and emphasizing the importance of the
good ones!
The difference
between the two groups was that those who ate low
carb had a significant increase in the
good HDL cholesterol levels as compared to those who ate a low fat diet.
Here is an amateurs input on a very interesting subject... Maybe the increase of BG level is because your LCHF diet made your insulin level drop to «all time low»...
Carbs to a certain level may just make a
good balance
between insulin and BG levels.
A
good place to start as someone who's doing resistance training and possibly some high - intensity cardio, which is a very
carb dominant fuel sourced activity, would be maybe
between 40 % — 70 % of carbohydrate.
I think though that we need to choose
between good and bad
carbs.

I have to lose about 25 pounds, but I sweat easily, have no
carb cravings, and respond
well to exercise, so I'm wondering if the whole «Primal» take on exercise — keeping it
between 55 % and 75 % (while doing weekly HIIT and lifting) will cannibalize my stem cells.
Many large breed dogs eat food that is designed for their size rather than their breed, and these work
best because of the balance
between carbs, fats and proteins.
