Many new writers don't fully appreciate the difference
between copy
editing and
line editing, let alone the effect an editor can have on a book's success.
My rates for
line editing vary depending on the state of the manuscript but fall anywhere
between $ 0.016 per word and $ 0.04 per word.
If you make sure you do your research, write a good story, get it professionally
edited, and give it a beautiful cover, then the
line between indie and traditional completely fades away.
