Besides collecting data on in - person interactions with
sociometric badges, we gathered e-mail data to assess the balance
between high - value face - to - face communication and lower - value digital messages.
In particular, additional research that incorporates EMA, observational and / or
sociometric data on real - world peer relationships with neuroimaging data (as in Eisenberger et al., 2007; Masten et al., 2012) would be valuable in addressing the interplay
between social experience and neural response to social rejection during adolescence.
