drinks taxes are ineffective.
The Australian
Beverages Council has responded to calls from Action on Sugar for
drinks manufacturers to set sugar reductions on soft
drinks,
following research on the levels of free sugars found in soft
drinks globally.
In addition to abiding by strict food laws, the industry adheres to the
following voluntary guidelines as part of the Industry Commitments3: • Energy

Following a shift over many years, bottled water is now America's number one
beverage choice, displacing carbonated soft
