It seems whatever
bezel width has been sacrificed
on the three
sides has been
made up for at the bottom.
The display is buffered by a healthy chunk of black
bezel on all four
sides, and a rounded - over border of shiny gray plastic
makes for edges that are easy
on the hands.
The 10.1 - inch display is framed
on all
sides by a 1 - inch - thick black

makes it easy to hold the device without your hand accidentally touching the screen.

side bezels on its new tablet significantly thinner than most seven - inch tablets, thus giving the device significantly more screen real estate despite being roughly the same overall size as the Nexus 7.
Unfortunately, while the Xperia Z2 Tablet is super-model thin the overall dimensions are quite large, a fact
made obvious by the large screen
bezels — more than an inch thick
on the
sides.
As you can see by the pictures, Sharp has cut away most of the regular
bezel on the
sides and top of the tablet, thus
making the actual tablet around 20 - 15 mm shorter than an average 7 - inch tablet.
But there's also a
bezel around the screen that measures around 18 mm and some extra metallic panels
on the
sides of it,
making it even wider than you would expect.
I'm waiting for the obvious «iPhone-esque» small tablet, with smaller
bezels on the
side so you can work it better in portrait mode, instead of giving up that capability in return for some misguided attempt to
make the tablet usable from all angles.
The screen goes edge to edge
on the
sides, which
makes it feel a bit thinner than you'd expect, and I can ignore the big top and
bezels at this price point.
The thin
bezels on either
side of the screen help
make the Z3 + feel comfortable to hold and use in one hand, and it also ensures that the bright, vibrant and full HD 5.2 - inch IPS screen is the centre of attention.
The display has almost no
bezel on its
sides, and the display has an aspect ratio of 18:9 inch which
makes the phone much taller.
Developed in partnership with Philippe Starck, a titan in the world of product design, it features a sleek 6.4 - inch body
made entirely of ceramic and free of
bezels on three

As for the frame, the shiny plastic backing
on the Nokia 6
makes it look sleek alongside the metal frame and minimal

The Moto G5 Plus
on the other hand, has a rounder frame with thicker

Since the

sides have been waived off dramatically here, the LG -
made handset isn't as gigantic as other 6 - inch phones.
The smartphone features a Full View Display with very thin
bezels on the
side, and to
make the design more interesting, the device features no physical home button
on the front.
With the display off, a look at the front gives the illusion of the device not having any
side bezels at all, which
makes the device look even better, and taking advantage of this design element is the Dark Mode that is activated by default (more
on that later).
It's sturdy, the rotating
bezel makes navigating through Tizen a joy, the
side buttons are clicky, and — best of all — it looks like it belongs
on my wrist.
The
side buttons are almost invisible
on the black metal frame, and the black
bezels on the front obviously
make the Midnight Black S8 the most consistent looking color.
It sports a 5 - inch display with small
bezels on the left and right
sides that really looks nice and
make the device even more compact.
It
makes for no
bezels on the
sides and very small
bezels top and bottom.
The pictures do not contradict this and, in fact, show a device that seems to have a textured plastic body with an aluminum frame
on the
sides to
make it look like it has a
bezel - free display, possibly to
make room for all 5.8 inches of the very large display.
Both noticeably sport LG G6 - looking front panels because of the interesting screen - to - body ratio that
makes more room for the display and minimizes
bezels on all
sides.
Slim

make it that much easier to handle.

While retaining the 5 - inch Full HD display
on the front, Xiaomi has managed to reduce the
bezel thickness
on the
sides of it, and
making the device even more comfortable to hold.
Anyhow, the Mi 5 also sports very thin
bezels on the
sides, which
makes the phone look really, really sleek, and give it a great screen - to - body ratio.
You have the lack of
bezel on either
side which
makes the screen feel larger.
Equally impressive is the fact that Huawei was able to
make the
bezel on the
sides of the P7's full HD 1080p display so narrow.
The design of the phone is getting a little outdated and a little tired looking, especially when compared to Samsung's Infinity Display
on the Galaxy S8 — the
bezel free
sides and small
bezels at the top and bottom
make the large
bezels on the iPhone almost «clown - like».
Samsung has managed to
make the Galaxy S7 Edge the more compact phone by having a smaller top and bottom chin, thinner
bezels, and adding curves to the glass
on the left and right
sides.

making it look completely different from its predecessor.
The display gets closer to the edges
on every
side,
making the
side bezels a lot smaller than any other OnePlus phone.
The 10.5 inch iPad Pro has a really small
bezel on the
sides which
makes the size of the two iPads almost the same.
With the larger
bezels on the
sides, it
makes it easier to play games as you have somewhere to rest your thumbs while playing.
Despite the smaller display, the Honor 7 has a lower screen to body ratio, with Huawei
making the display frameless
on the Ascend Mate 7 but having to add small
bezels to the
sides of the Honor 7 screen.
It does still help
make pulling the edges of menus and other objects
on the
side of the screen easier, and it gives the phone basically zero
bezel on the
sides, but if you were hoping for some big improvements to the Edge features that Samsung has been improving for years you're going to be in for a disappointment.
