Under the skin and in the cabin is pretty much X3, but the body is pure — reduced in size — X6 with a deeper front bumper, contoured bonnet, new grill,
big back haunches, deep back bumper and, of course, the dramatically slopping roof line.
Not exact matches
So the cost of giving the RS the
big haunches it used to have would have been much greater this time round — and less appealing in some markets — so the Focus RS looks pretty much like the ST down the flanks, although the front and
back have come in for some aggressive RS treatments, including a
big wing at the
back.
The
haunches take away the rest of the spaceship look, now it just seems like a
big sedan, except for the two seats in the
back, as opposed to three.
