The
kitchen is beautiful but I would make the two wall cabinets
bigger — more
storage for pantry items = less trips to grocery store (especially in bad weather).

Storage is the
biggest challenge for small
kitchens, but the good news is that the less equipment you have, the less you need to store!
I would have done the same thing, not having to worry about needing the closet for
storage, and did do the same in our previous home where we were fortunate to have a
big walk - in
storage closet between the dining room and eat - in part of our
kitchen, which allowed us to keep china and large kitchenware items to utilize for both rooms.
We debated doing it with our new
kitchen but now that we opened up the
kitchen (see here) we don't need it to feel more open and we are desperate for
storage, so we are putting in uppers with glass or mesh fronts that will help it feel
bigger but provide a bit more
storage and ability to hide our unmentionables.
The solution was to have three rooms: a larder and a pantry for
storage, and a
kitchen with a
big table in the center since we don't have a dining room.
