The very reason why most traders lose money is because they simply can not see the forest for the trees, meaning they get caught up in the temptation to trade every day and over-leverage their accounts because they forget about or are unaware of the bigger picture of trading, which is that slow and steady wins the race, not fast and haphazard.

A small win puts money in your trading account, a small win is a success as long as your did not forfeit a big win by exiting too quickly during a trend in your favor.

This will do two things; it will give you a task to do right after closing out a trade which will give you time to calm down from a big win or a loss so as to help keep you from jumping back into the market.

While I can't guarantee that you will catch the next big move, I can share three methods that have helped me to hold winning trades longer.
