big - budget
racers, but manages to offer almost throwback
arcade fun and velocity.
I've always been a
big fan of unconventional
arcade - style
racers.
Now, though, Milestone are back with another original IP and while it's unlikely Gravel is going to be competing with the
big boys of the genre it's a surprisingly robust and enjoyable
arcade racer that revels in letting you scream around corners.
I think by the end of this upcoming gen we will have some 4K games, probably
arcade stuff and
racers, I wouldn't expect any
big 3D platformers or FPS.
It is one of the best
racers I've ever played, and I'm a
big arcade racing fan.
Despite Burnout Paradise Remastered being an
arcade racer; physics are still a
big factor such as the weight of your chosen vehicle playing a part in acceleration in a realistic sense as the heavy nature of a truck or van will reduce its maximum speed and increase the length of time required to steer into a corner in comparison to cars and motorbikes.
I wouldn't say I'm a
big racing fan, but I love racing games that are more on the
arcade side, and Split / Second is definitely that type of
racer.

Big Ben Interactive have released a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming destructive
arcade racer, FlatOut 4: Total Insanity, which is set to release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next week on March 17.
This is an engaging, retro
arcade racer with a rewarding structure that puts
bigger - name games to shame.
It was also more of the
arcade - side of vehicle control, which is great because I'm personally not a
big fan of the SUPER serious simulation
racers (such as Forza Motorsport, Gran Turismo, Project Gotham Racing, etc).
It's a shame there's no two or four player split screen in this kind of
arcade racer, but it's an even
bigger shame there hasn't been a sequel.
Can Burnout continue to dominate the competition with another
