I think Nintendo's holiday season will not be as good as past years, but at least that means that they have more time to work on
bigger games like Zelda U and Star Fox.
The game shown off today should satisfy Nintendo fans until well into Spring 2016, when we hopefully hear from Nintendo on
big games like Zelda Wii U and even their next home console, the NX.

Beyond that, the Switch already has a tremendous library of exclusive
games — including «The Legend of
Zelda: Breath of the Wild,» «Super Mario Odyssey,» and «Splatoon 2,» and that's before we start talking about
big coming
games like «Metroid Prime 4» and «Super Smash Bros..»
Of course, the fact that it's a
Zelda -
like probably is one of the
biggest reasons the
game sold so well on Nintendo Switch in the first place.

big way, especially when it comes to titles
like Horizon: Zero Dawn, and the reinvention of long - time favorites
like Assassin's Creed Origins and
Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Zelda Twilight Princess HD was well - received among Wii U
gamers and showed that Tantalus was capable of handling a
big project for a company
like Nintendo.
I wonder if the Doritos Pope will pay
big bucks to have an NX
game shown there just
like how they had the new
Zelda game shown there.
Big games like Fire Emblem and Pokemon, and a
Zelda coming out soon... all in time for the holidays.
Or
like any other older series
like Tony Hawk or rock band etc It's not even saying their bad
games it's simply saying that you enjoyed them and now you've moved on the
biggest issue is with something
like Gears of War or
Zelda you must literally by the system to actually continue to play those
games.
I think the
biggest problem I have is with the pacing — compared to the 2D
Zeldas or even the Souls
games, everything just feels
like it takes forever.
It's an arcade -
like puzzle
game about cutting the battlefield's grass — a direct contradiction to
Zelda «s world exploration and playing hero to defeat the
Big Bad of the story.
Just
like it happened with Twilight Princess in 2006, Breath of the Wild was supposed to be the
big Wii U
Zelda game until it got delayed and pushed to the Nintendo NX.
The
game has players control Link for what might feel
like the 80th time in his quest to save the kingdom of Hyrule and Princess
Zelda from the
big bad Ganon who keeps kidnapping her and locking her up.
Like The Legend of
Zelda: Breath of the Wild before it, Mario's
big Nintendo Switch debut brilliantly mixes together elements of previous
games into something that feels both familiar and strikingly modern.
You guys are smoking something really good if you think Xbox 1 or ps4 is going to sell more then wii u this holiday lol... mostly every
big 3rd party
game is coming out on current gen or wii u this holiday... ac4, batman, rayman, splinter cell, watch dogs, call of duty, etc so most people won't even be upgradeing
like that yet when mostly all the same
games will be out across all consoles... Nintendo got all of them
games then there
games zelda, pikmin, wonderfull 101, Mario, etc and there ain't no
game on ps4 or x1 that's going to sell more then Mario!!!!!! That's a fact... and to top it off we know the wii u is going to get a official price cut right before x1 and ps4 launch... and you guys still think they going to sell more lol... now the next holiday of 2014 that's the real question will nintendo still have some 3rd paty
games and there
games to hold off the next halo or god of war etc????
- Link doesn't have much of a character in this
game - they wanted players to relate to Link and play as themselves - Link's face doesn't have much expression in this
game, and that was done on purpose - for
Zelda games, the devs always try to make the player feel
like Link - that was pushed even moreso for this entry - everytime a
Zelda releases, Aonuma watches fan feedback and considers that for the future - the items Link uses to solve are always going to be important - regardless of the tech that Nintendo provides, exploration in the series is important - Link's growth through who he meets is also an important element of the franchise - Aonuma thought about
Zelda freedom when considering Breath of the Wild, and was brought back to the days of the original
Zelda - this was a
big point of inspiration for Breath of the Wild - with Ocarina of Time 3D, Nintendo wanted to really utilize the 3D and had a desire to let players enjoy Ocarina of Time outside - the goal with A Link to the Past was creating more depth - Aonuma used to think that getting lost in a 3D world wasn't okay - this lead Aonuma to putting in tons of hints and guiding players - he has since changed that idea and convinced himself that it's okay to get lost - the first two years of development the devs created a
game where just running around was fun - climbing is very important, because players can climb high and see destinations they want to visit - you can place your own markers to decide where you want to go - when the devs create a
Zelda title, they consider not using the name Link - since they don't have anything else to go with, they choose Link - the name Link doesn't hold much value, since the player is the one creating the journey - when Nintendo first created Link, they wanted a character that is literally the link between people - that is why his name is Link - to think that the
Zelda series has been around so long that there are all sorts of urban legends and myths makes Miyamoto really happy
Ive always said let the
games do the talking and Nintendo did that in spades at E3, yes they left a few
big titles out
like Zelda, Metroid, ect but hey next E3 will showcase these
games and they will look fantastic i heard Retro is thinking more of a Metroid universe and it will take time so i can be patient for them titles, but yeah wiiu E3 won in my eyes by far, ps4 has lots but the
games just seem the same not nearly as fresh as what Nintendo have in store.
