Trust the press to take the single
biggest advantage eReaders have and attack it or ignore it.
One
big advantage eReaders had over tablets is that with no light source to power, eReaders offer phenomenal battery life.

Given that I do have
eReaders for all three of those systems already, I just don't see a
big advantage to that.
It's a

big competitive
advantage because physical book stores, publishers, and
eReaders without a wireless connection just can't compete.
This is hugely significant because «you can read at night» was perhaps the single
biggest actual
advantage the iPhone and iPad had over
eReaders like Kindle when it came to reading.
Not only does the Lighted cover make reading on the Kindle 3 at night a pleasure it negates probably the
biggest iPhone / iPad
advantage (backlight for reading at night) and gives Kindle 3 a significant
advantage over other
eReaders.
The
biggest advantage to an
ereader that I can see is that it is lighter than carrying a lot of books with you.
