microwaved the butter in a
big bowl, then just added the chocolate as I chopped it, so by the time I added the last handful of chocolate, all I had to do was stir a few times to blend... it was all evenly melted.However, I couldn't find my regular baking pan, so substituted a fry - pan with sloping sides.
Just make sure you cook the oatmeal in a
big enough
bowl — I actually use my 4 cup measure because it puffs up when it cooks, and let me tell you, cleaning oatmeal from your
microwave is not fun!
I adore this

big batch of cupcake batter, is oven and
microwave safe, and includes a fantastic easy pour spout to prevent messes.
If you'd rather cook a
big pot of quinoa for multiple uses, simply put the portion you'd like to use for the porridge into a pot (or a
bowl if you're doing the
microwave thing), just barely cover with milk, and heat until most (but not all) of the liquid has been absorbed.
