claims before swallowing them whole,» Flew strongly responded to that charge in a letter published in the
same journal in summer 2006, describing the content of Bradley's letter «extraordinary offensive» and the accusation
made by him as an «egregiously offensive charge»; he also implied that Bradley was a «secularist
bigot,» and suggested that he should follow Socrates's advice (as scripted in Plato's Republic) of «follow [ing] the argument wherever it leads.»
