Research Interests: Child language from a longitudinal and processing perspective, specifically
bilingual language development in typically developing children and those with language impairments.
Her research focuses
on bilingual language and literacy practices, developing bilingual models of reading comprehension, contexts of bilingual and immigrant student development, and re-conceptualizing the field's understanding of how we assess measure, and understand bilingualism & biliteracy.
Interpreters
provide bilingual language interpreting services to various clients — Provided assistance to clients with limited English / Spanish proficiency to improve the quality of communication between business partners and ease the services for clientele.
Additionally, interns will have clinical opportunities to conduct assessments with referral questions centered around issues
of bilingual language development and the influence of culture and acculturation on cognitive, academic, and socioemotional functioning.
