Giving
birth in a pool of water has been so beneficial for a lot of Moms, as their body relaxed more during contractions and they were able to naturally find the position that worked for them to stay comfortable and birth their babies in a safe and (relatively) painless way.

Many
of us adults today have inadequate good bacteria
in our digestive tract — due to various things including antibiotics, chlorine
in tap
water (and
in swimming
pools and showers), the
birth control pill, other medications, and also not replenishing our good bacteria by regularly eating fermented foods (yogurt, kefir, sourdough, kombucha, sauerkraut, and so on).

Doing your research on the various types
of pain relief and facilities offered by your hospital is also really important (there's no point
in writing that you want a
water birth if the hospital you will be using has no tub or
birth pool on offer!).
Others opt for a
pool of water in which to have a natural delivery and some experience their baby's
birth in their own bed.
Mothers can give
birth in a uniquely designed
birth room where they can avail
of facilities such as music, a
water pool, supportive aids (gym ball, bean bags etc.) and Entonox (gas and air) if required.
Beat
in mind that mothers who plan to give
birth in water often feel like stepping out
of the birthing
pool at the last minute to give
birth, so one can never predict the outcome.
And how about
birth without marinating TWO
of your children
in nasty contaminated
birth pool water?
On another level, eco-
birth is a way
of referring to
water birth, which takes away all
of the «hard» exterior items like beds, sheets, and interventions, and allows for the
birth of a baby
in a
pool of water.
Dr Gowri Motha pioneered waterbirths
in NHS hospitals, buying the first ever
water birth pool in 1987 out
of her own pocket for the NHS London hospital where she was an obstetrician.
At some point, we blew up the
birth pool (but didn't put any
water in it yet) and the kids were enthralled with their new «toy» and kept playing over the edges
of it.
There are SO many ways to define «natural
birth» these days, from hospital
births with a myriad
of pain relieving options to home deliveries
in a relaxing
pool of water.
The girls were both born
in a birthing
pool and the star is an advocate
of water births as a way
of natural pain management.

If we'd stayed
in the UK I could easily have had a home
birth, a fair number
of my friends did and some chose to have
water births with a birthing
pool provided by the National Health Service.
