birth story for each of their
children.
How difficult was it to balance sharing your
children's
stories —
for instance, Tessa's question about why Crystal and Joe, her birthparents, couldn't be her parents — with protecting their privacy and their relationship to their
birth families?
Since the state doesn't give
birth to my
children, feed them in the night, clothe them, hold them when they're sick, read
stories for hours each day, worry when they begin toddling around, and teach them right from wrong, I don't think they should get to decide what my kids learn and what assessments I use to gauge their learning.
Some
stories of beautiful hospital
births, some of brave women having cesarean's (some by choice, some because of emergency), some of ecstatic parents meeting their adopted
children for the first time, and some of peaceful home -
births.
Unfortunately it wasn't the case
for me during either of my
children's
births, and plenty of moms have horror
stories about awful nurses ruining their
birth experiences.

birth, even though it was my first
child.

child's imagination with fairy tales and superhero adventures, these books are made especially

child.
We found that the best outcome
for an adopted
child is
for adoptive parents and
birth parents to jointly tell the
story of adoption, when appropriate.
I question our collective judgment when it comes to
child birth, treatment
for hormonal imbalances, overuse of antibiotics, judicial procedure governing Central Park bicycle path violations (long
story), environmental policies, energy policies, the fashionable integrity of drop - crotch pants, and the list goes on... so why not beauty?
Maybe not enough of our people are parents: Room tells the

for seven years, and who gives

child not long into her confinement.
