I don't have a wedding board, but I confess that when I'm not busy changing the world through blogging, I like to scroll through the wedding images on Pinterest and daydream
about doing it all over again, this time with a peacock feather in my hair and grilled
cheese sandwich
bites on the menu.
So when Daring Bakers» announced that we have to make Mascarpone
Cheese as part of their February challenge issued by Deeba & Aparna, I was excited but at the same time a
bit apprehensive
about it.
I like to mix the shredded
cheese with seasoned breadcrumbs and a
bit of Parmesan
cheese and then drizzle a little olive oil (
about 1 - 2 tsp) when it is spread out over the tortellini and sauce.
Perhaps it's just the novelty, but there's something really special
about a seemingly normal looking burger that starts oozing creamy blue
cheese when you
bite into it!
In a separate bowl I stirred together softened cream
cheese with
about 1/4 cup of fresh chives and a
bit of lemon zest.
I added a
bit more cream
cheese (
about 1/4 cup extra) to make up for the volume of air in my initial 1/2 cup since my cream
cheese was whipped.
So, I thought
about making these low - carb cauliflower
bites because they are all what we are looking for, which means they are low - carb, gluten - free, easy to make... And on top of that, you will find the ingredients are simples to find in any food store such as cauliflower, Parmesan and mozzarella
cheese, bacon, eggs, tomatoes and avocado.
It is delicious but I could recommend baking the potato and
cheese crust for
about 10 minutes to crisp it up a
bit.
Place tortilla on a flat surface, and spoon
about 1 tablespoon of meat down the middle horizontally, sprinkle with a
bit of cotija
cheese if using.
Spice up fruitcake, muffins and other cakes, like our Bold Banana Bread (see recipe below) or how
about a habanero
cheese cake (above), with
bits in the dough and matching decoration on top!
I wanted it a
bit spicier, so decided to try it with 2 Habanero Pepper, 1/2 bulb of Garlic (chopped in Magic Bullet) and
about 3/4 C
Cheese.
Top with
about 1/2 cup of dairy free
cheese sub of choice (I drizzled a
bit of cashew
cheese on mine, as I had some on hand), if desired.
I also added
about 2 or 3 tablespoons of Gorgonzola
cheese that I had left over because I was a
bit short on the parmasen and I wanted it to have a good kick.
After
about a month or two after baby, my body naturally began to eat the same as normal but I would add an extra banana w / some pb or ab or pb pretzel
bites or
cheese n crackers.
Now that you know a little more
about making your own
cheese and the special ingredients you need, it's time to start making those perfect little pizza
bites!
The best
bit about this recipe is you can make it the way you love it, beans or no beans, hot or mild,
cheese or no
cheese or just loads of avocado.Another thing I like
about these nachos is that it gets all done on one baking tray.
We debated a
bit about the method and the kind of cookie to be used (ladyfingers versus galletas María), but ultimately we decided the best version would include cream
cheese.
What I really love
about this is that it's super forgiving, if the sauce isn't loose enough, a couple splashes of starchy cooking liquid get ladled in, and if the sauce is too loose, a little
bit more parmesan
cheese is tossed in — easy peasy.
The standard chili has a
bit of a Mexican flair with beans, ground beef, tomatoes, and then the garnishes like
cheese, sour cream, you know what I'm talking
about.
From there it's all
about the extra toppings like sliced avocado, quick pickled red onions and / or serrano chiles, and a
bit of
cheese - I used Bulgarian feta, but cotija would be good, or skip it altogether if you're vegan.
In this case I was thinking
about doing the cream
cheese pancake recipe (2oz Cream
cheese, 2 eggs, a
bit of cinnamon, and very little liquid stevia) with 2 TBS of butter as a topping 3 times a day and then having egg salad (hb egg with 1 TBS mayo), perhaps with some
cheese crisps.
Pour in an egg, spinach, and
cheese mixture, cook for
about two minutes, and crumble bacon
bits on top for a perfect crunch.
Also I added
about 1/4 — 1/2 of grated parm
cheese because it needed a
bit more flavor.
Something
about the little bursts of cranberries paired with salty
cheese bits and crunchy pecans keeps us coming back year after year for more.
I only have a tiny
bit of mascarpone
cheese left so was thinking
about using cream
cheese instead.
Years later I've learned a
bit about vegan
cheese and I was able to come up with a homemade solution that actually works!
Load on some red and green pepper (and other veggies if you like), add a
bit of
cheese and bake for
about 15 minutes.
Lower the heat and cover the omelet with the lid for
about 30 seconds to melt the
cheese a
bit.
But I was a
bit «worried»
about living without feta
cheese because I just love the saltiness and texture of it!
1 lb wide egg noodles, cooked and drained (I used whole wheat) 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted (I used only
about 2 - 3 tablespons of Brummel & Brown) 1 pound cottage
cheese (I used reduced fat) 2 cups light sour cream 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1 cup sugar (I used only a tiny

bit more exciting I guess... and while everyone else is enjoying their lovely turkey and
cheese paninis, I'm getting excited
about this Hummus and Veggie Panini I am putting together for myself.

about 80 % primal (i allow a
bit of sway for protein supplements and
cheeses / creams), but I was wanting to go over my diet and figure out how much I need to supplement given the amount of red meat I eat, if i could eat salmon for half my meals I most certainly would but in my current situation I'm stuck with beef compromising at least 70 % of my total meat intake followed by chicken and what fish I can get in there.
