Sega took a chance in letting a longtime Sonic fan and a few smaller dev teams bring the original 16 -
bit iteration of their mascot back into the modern era, and the result is Sonic Mania, one
of the purest and most enjoyable Sonic
games we've ever been given.

game changes from previous
iterations I came across some rants about former versions
of game not even having the ability to even unlock extra cards making all unlockables available to purchase only.
The first
iteration of the 2013 version
of the series was a
game all about stringing neigh - endless combos together while your opponent tried to break out, but that seems to have died down a
bit based on what I saw at the world championships this weekend.
The lag that was found in this
game is actually a
bit of improvement from what we saw on the Playstation 2, but it is still a noticeable flaw, which hopefully would be entirely eliminated in the next
iteration of the franchise.
This
iteration takes the best
bits of previous Mario Kart
games, and turns them upside down — quite literally!
The problem with this is that many Zelda
gamers have grown up since they first played the series, some
of which grew up as the series itself was growing from 8 -
bit to 16 -
bit to full 3D polygons and now the current
iterations.
It seems to me that the lack
of online play really does hinder the
game a
bit as we have seen some racing
games be quite successful online and I know we all want to show off the cars we worked on for hours upon hours online and I think that feature is greatly missed in this
iteration.
While it would certainly take quite a
bit of effort to get multiple companies to agree on such an idea, it would be very interesting to see a
game like this, considering how well Akuma has been implemented in the Tekken 7 experience, with the character feeling a lot like his Street Fighter IV
iteration.
The goal here is to get the most points, but here's where things are a
bit different from previous
iterations of this mode: instead
of being knocked out
of the
game when all five
of your balloons are popped, you instead lose a sizeable amount
of your accumulated points.
The clue is in the name: it's the second
iteration of Nintendo's modern take on its classic side - scrolling platform
games from the 16 -
bit era which unleashed the moustachioed plumber on an unsuspecting world.
The third
iteration of the Max series, which is known for their big and long lasting batteries, the ASUS ZenFone 4 Max Pro upped the
game a little
bit compared to its predecessors by including a much bigger battery and introducing a brand new dual rear camera setup.
