After seeing last night's episode — and seeing how apathy about justice is similar in nature to surveillance apathy — I'm in no small part wondering how the fight for Canadian justice issues could be waged better, and with
a bit more humour.
However, it was nice to see
a bit more humour than the first trailer offered.
Summary: If Iron Chef and Russ Meyer collaborated... this may well be the result (but with
a bit more humour).

I think we all need to get a sense of
humour, put what Gray said into perspective, and become a little
bit more thick - skinned.»
There's also a
bit of goofy and
more subtle
humour from the girls, but that's not at the forefront of this movie.
In fact there's a whole series of six books, so if this vampire movie has the same
bite and
humour as MEAN GIRLS there'll be lots
more potential fodder.
Seeing these flashes of dark
humour makes you wish writer Dan Fogelman (Tangled) had the bravery to be a
bit more acerbic.
But, while this is obviously
more a matter of personal taste than a comment on quality, much of the rest of the
humour fell a
bit flat for me.
All in all, a
bit of
humour, a little
more interesting rather than working through worksheet questions.Also, allocate a few
more minutes if doing as a starter (up to 15 minutes).
When things like Duke Nukem 3D surfaced they added a
bit more realism to the genre but then also added some over the top kills on space aliens, some great tongue in cheek
humour and of corse some bad ass attitude.
McMillen's
humour in Super Meat Boy never reaches the controversial realm of something like South Park, nor does it aspire to - but it has
more bite than you might expect, while still maintaining a sense of reverence for its genre forbears.
This is only one of the small underlying issues though, but this does not take away the
humour and or the silliness that made this game just a
bit more than just a genuine adventure.
But thanks to this latest dev diary we're a little
bit more optimistic as we get to see lots of different ways to dismember the undead masses and a few glimpses of
humour along the way.
Of course it will make NO DIFFERENCE HERE but a little pointed
humour greases the wheels of life making it just a little
bit more worthwhile.
You can easily use [
humour] in a mild way with juries because juries are, as I said they are lay people in a very unfamiliar environment doing a very responsible job, very responsible job, and they're just thrown together, 12 people, chances are [they've] never met before... So I tend to be reasonably personal in my communications, by personal I mean engaging not personal, engaging, and I'll make a joke... and it just engages and I'm hoping it helps them to feel a
bit more comfortable... just things like... where I try to help them to encourage them, to relax a
bit and to tell them what their job is and make sure they're comfortable.
Judicial
humour is first able to «relax» or «help [jury members] to feel a
bit more comfortable» by defusing tension; and second, it can «encourage» or engage jury members with the proceedings.
There is nothing like a
bit of self - deprecating
humour (note the Canadian spelling) to help us all
more clearly see what we are and have, and how the rest of the world sees us.
