story that's a
bit formulaic but very well set in its moment, and it tells
of a very human experience: though it's about racism - Davis being the first black player to win the Heisman trophy - it's not too heavy - handed, and it's just as much about football, and built on a deep

love story that takes center stage, but it's all part
of the required setup that brings us to that explosive climax which is well worth any minor complaints along the way.
Without giving too much away, what's even more impressive is that they manage to tie this all together with a
bit of meta -
story that manages to cut not just into the feeling
of being a kid, but specifically the feeling
of a kid who
loves Lego.
Cave
Story + has been out for a few weeks now and it looks like people are
loving every
bit of the game.
This aspect
of the
story becomes a
bit heavy - handed but is rescued by the humanity in Stiller and Watts» characterizations; we never lose sight
of the fact that they
love each other.
With Ten Thousand Saints, directors Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini approach the subject matter admirably, albeit a
bit unsuccessfully, before transitioning into a predictably sweet
story about the perils

of vivid, textured, living compositions that say as much about van Gogh's mind as
Loving Vincent's nail -
biting anecdotes.
Think
of Swing Vote as the mother -

story and suddenly the movie's every
bit the frightening satirical comedy it wasn't upon initial release.
«The Hateful Eight» struck many observers as a sharp departure for writer / director Quentin Tarantino, who tends to

bit of quality and surprise in the final episodes, a good
story you will surely enjoy if you
love this developer.
It's a decidedly mixed bag here, and the handful
of truly worthwhile pieces is far outweighed by a couple
of shorts that seem completely out
of place, some that fit the mold
of a «little
love story» a
bit too obviously, or a few more that escape the mind more quickly than it takes to watch them.
Not just a second pass at the already excruciating
Love Story, the picture is a faded Xerox
of any number
of entertainments — one
of those useless
bits of goop manufactured exclusively for decades
of replay on Lifetime.
Admittedly I'm a
bit of a softie for
love stories that truly come from the heart, which this one quite obviously did.
I
loved how the
story revealed
bits of information so that we gradually understand what's going on.
If you've clicked into this
story, then you're like me and
love a
bit of Cameron Crowe movie brilliance.
As much as I
love the film in
story, style and execution it would be remiss
of me to not peek beneath the surface and bring up some cultural aspects that left me feeling a
bit... not necessarily mad or angry but more questioning some
of the decision making.
Oh sure, she's not exactly the most empowered or independent
of female characters, (although she does throw a mean pie), but A: this is set in the middle ages, so, yeah, little
bit of realism there, and B: hers and Robin's is, I'm pretty sure, the one
love story in animated Disney history that begins in medias res.
The film becomes a
biting critique
of American culture in 1960s, a heist picture, a tale
of Cold War - era espionage, a monster movie, a fairy tale, and, perhaps above all else, a tender
love story between two unlikely lovers.
For a costume with a
bit of a challenge baked in, Yorgos Lanthimos» confounding, metaphor - laden
love story has a couple
of options that will make you the hit
of any hip party.
As a
bit of counterprogramming, allow me to recommend Yorgos Lanthimos» The Lobster, the most original and beautifully strange
love story since Eternal Sunshine
of the Spotless Mind — and my favorite film
of the year so far.
