buttermilk, and then panko breadcrumbs, it pan fries in a

I used a hint
of red pepper, a
bit of rosemary for depth, some potato for body, garlic, shallots - and aside from the
buttermilk, nothing too far beyond the usual suspects.
This Kale Cobb Salad with
Buttermilk Ranch Dressing hits the spot, and it has a
bit of indulgence to it, too (the dressing, for one!).
For this one it helps to turn the non-dairy milk into a «
buttermilk» consistency Also adds a
bit of tang to the flavor!
Used minced garlic (yep, the jar stuff) 1/2
of the green chile's, 1 cup
of buttermilk ranch dressing, cup
of milk, little

Slight modifications: zero fat greek yogurt and made «
buttermilk» by adding vinegar to 1 % milk plus used coconut oil and cut back a
bit instead
of the butter.
Tweaked the recipe a
bit, no
buttermilk, used 2 % and low fat plain yogurt instead
of whole also used half the cornmeal since mine was a medium grind and I was afraid they'd have a crunch.
Marinating the meat in seasoned
buttermilk (in my case, 1 % milk soured with a
bit of white vinegar) for 24 hours goes a long way in making sure the chicken tastes well seasoned and comes out juicy and delicious.
See how dense and grainy it is?Despite the bread seeming plenty moist — thanks to the

buttermilk and sour cream, and they have savory, chunky texture in every
bite, courtesy
of whole corn kernels.
1 rotisserie chicken, meat pulled from bone and cut into
bite - sized pieces OR 4 cups cooked chicken, also cut into
bite - sized pieces 1 can cream
of chicken soup (10 3/4 oz size can) 1 1/2 cups
of chicken broth 2 tablespoons
of cornstarch 1 1/2 cups
of self - rising flour (White Lily preferred) 1 cup

An overnight soak in
buttermilk will be good for getting rid
of some
of the gamey taste and it will help to tenderize the meat a
bit.
After adding the

bit too dry compaired to the picture above, so I increased the amount
of buttermilk to 1-1/4 cups.
At that point, some people use it in place
of buttermilk, while others add a little
bit of yogurt and let the mixture sit out on the counter for 24 hours to make kefir.
