I used a caramelized onion jam as the «sauce» on the dough, and shredded a bit of mizithra cheese over the top.

I drizzled them with a bit of white chocolate (on the berry itself) and piped the cream cheese so it raised to a pretty point on the top.

Although, as stated above, the traditional way of serve this garlicky bread is at room temperature, we sometimes switch things up a bit in North America and you will see a variation above for a hot version that calls for mozzarella cheese sprinkled and melted on the bread.

Add chopped bits of whatever leftover meat needs to get used up, throw in a chopped tomato, avocado, and handful of whatever cheese we have on hand.

We also love just piling in seasonal veggies, a bit of cheese, and herbs into a frittata or on top of polenta.

We have hot chicken sandwiches (Frank's hot sauce on the chicken, LOTS of bleu cheese on toasted whatever - bread - I - have - on - hand, lettuce and tomato), chicken alfredo (I just add a bit of pressed garlic and pepper to the pan when the chicken is almost done, throw in some cream, let it simmer and reduce, then add a bunch of finely grated parm, asiago, pecorino romano, or whatever I have), and then an absolute favorite: lemon pepper chicken on Greek Salad.

The pepper jack cheese gives these a little bit of a kick on its own, but not enough to bother anyone who doesn't like spicy food.

Top with about 1/2 cup of dairy free cheese sub of choice (I drizzled a bit of cashew cheese on mine, as I had some on hand), if desired.

I also added about 2 or 3 tablespoons of Gorgonzola cheese that I had left over because I was a bit short on the parmasen and I wanted it to have a good kick.
