Made this salad for a family gathering today, and it was a hit among non - veg / plant - based food eaters I seasoned the quinoa with a
bit of lemon juice and
sea salt, and also added some toasted pepitas for crunch, and thin carrot strips for some pop
of color.
I couldn't find caramel
bits or melts, so I
made a bourbon caramel sauce and added some lightly toasted walnuts with
sea salt for a
bit of crunch and a salty note atop the frosting.
We also
made some french fries by slicing potatoes into thin pieces, throwing them in a bag with grapeseed oil and a little
bit of sea salt and shaking it up.
I even
made truffled French fries, adding a sprinkling
of truffle oil as they cooled and topping with shaved truffle
bits and
sea salt.
Other than swapping out the cheese for my delicious vegan version and adding a sprinkling
of sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, the only other change I
made to the directions was to soak the red onion in unsweetened soymilk for a few hours to temper some
of that peppery
bite and strong aroma.
So I add just a
bit of salt to these coconut oil chocolates, but I
make sure that my
salt is the real deal, a nice
sea salt instead
of table
salt that has been bleached and treated with all sorts
of chemicals that likely are dangerous and certainly affect the taste
of the final product.
Plus it already contains maca, cinnamon, and a
bit of sea salt which all can only
make a frosting taste that much better.

What I usually
make are banana slices with chocolate (melt a bar
of endangered species dark chocolate w / almonds and
sea salt) and shredded coconut (Let's do Organic, 100 % organic coconut) sprinkle a
bit on top
of each while chocolate is still melted.
Butter is wonderful on any vegetable and will help you absorb the fat soluble vitamins found in many veggies, try it melted on fish, fry your eggs with it,
make organic popcorn on the stove and pour melted better on top with a little
