I make one adjustment, because I am not
a black bean fan, I used home cooked navy beans.

I've been using a lot of
black beans because it's common here, I live in Southern California (Orange County to be exact) and there is a strong Mexican influence in our cuisine and I am a
fan of
black bean salsas etc, but we've all grown quite sick of it and I was so excited to see your chickpea stew dish.

So I am a huge
fan of sneaking something healthy into an otherwise nutritionally lacking treat so I say go ahead and make them
black bean brownies — I've had them before and you won't even taste the
black beans in them!

bean sprouts 6 scallions, sliced Other optional veggies: I added a cup of sliced white mushrooms, but broccoli, peapods, or any others you like would work as well 4 tablespoons Pad Thai sauce, more to taste ** 1/3 cup peanuts, chopped 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped 1 lime, cut into wedges * you could alternatively use chicken or shrimp if you're not a tofu

If you're not a
fan of
black beans, try pinto, kidney, chickpeas, or a variety of cooked
beans in place of them.
In fact, I'm not even a
fan of
black beans but when I saw the recipe on Skinny Taste it intrigued me so much I had to make them.

Love this and such a tasty combination with the
black beans and carrots, and i'm a big
fan of brown rice too.

As for ideas on what to do once you've cracked a can: Editor in chief Adam Rapoport is a
fan of simmering drained Goya
black beans with some sautéed onion and garlic and chopped cilantro as a side with quick tacos.
And that's why I've never been a huge
fan of
black bean burgers.
