kid - safe» items, try to choose things that fit logically with whatever you're serving (e.g., corn bread with your chili or
black bean soup, plain couscous with your Moroccan stew, potatoes with your meat) so that it doesn't look like you're putting that food on the table specifically to serve as an «out» for your picky eater — even if that's the brilliant strategy behind it.
